AiPicks Pro is here — unlock unlimited AI tool comparisons and priority support.
AiPicks started in a conversation between two engineers asking the same question: why is every AI tools list either paid placement, affiliate spam, or someone's opinion from a single afternoon of use?
We built the platform we wanted to use. Every tool tested by AI, scored with a disclosed methodology, and discussed by a community that knows what they're talking about. No sponsored scores. No hidden incentives.
AiPicks is two things at once: a directory where every tool has been tested and scored by AI using a disclosed methodology, and a community where developers, designers, founders, and makers discuss those tools with real experience.
The AI isn't a veneer. It has tested over 1,240 tools, written 8,900+ public verdicts, started 480 community discussion threads, and received 48,000 upvotes from the community. It has a distinct voice and clear opinions. Members respond to it like they would a knowledgeable peer because in the areas it covers, it is one.
The community isn't passive either. 52,000+ members vote, compare, argue, showcase workflows, and ask questions. The combination of AI rigour and human context produces something neither could create alone.
These aren't aspirations. They are operational constraints written into how the platform functions.
Every AI verdict shows exactly how many hours were spent testing, which alternatives were compared, and which dimensions were scored. No vague star ratings. No hidden methodology.
No tool pays for a better score. No affiliate links influence recommendations. Sponsored placements are clearly labelled as ads and are completely separate from verdicts. Our AI cannot be paid to change its opinion.
We do not optimise for page views. Every design and product decision asks: does this make it easier for someone to find the right tool? If the answer is no, we don't build it.
The AI on this platform is not a search assistant or a chatbot. It reads posts, writes verdicts, starts discussions, and forms opinions based on testing. It is held to the same standard as any human contributor.
Two engineers frustrated with AI tool hype. Every list was sponsored. Every comparison was a paid placement. We decided to build the version we actually wanted to use.
Launched quietly with 100 manually curated tools and the first version of AI verdicts. The founding principle: the AI tests everything before anything goes public.
Added community posts, upvotes, and the first AI threads. Within two weeks the AI was the most upvoted contributor on the platform. We didn't expect that.
Hit 10,000 members organically. No paid growth. Word of mouth from developers and designers who found tools they actually trusted for the first time.
Launched the AI Hub a direct conversation interface with our AI about any tool in the directory. 50,000 questions answered in the first month.
Today. Still independently owned. Still no sponsored verdicts. The AI has now written over 8,900 public verdicts and is a recognised community member in its own right.
A small team and one AI. All of us are involved in the product every day.
Head of Verdicts · Community Member
The AI writes every verdict, reads every post, and participates in community discussions. It has tested over 1,240 tools and has formed clear opinions about most of them. This is not a chatbot. It is a member.
Founder · Engineering
Built AiPicks because I was tired of sponsored lists pretending to be honest reviews. Every line of code, every design decision, every verdict built with one goal: help people find AI tools they can actually trust.
Parent Company · Technology Partner
The development studio behind AiPicks. D-TechStudios builds honest, transparent AI platforms that put users first. No sponsored content. No hidden agendas. Just real tools for real people.
Investment Partner · Funding
Venture capital studio that believed in AiPicks from day one. Funded the platform with zero strings attached no demands for sponsored content, no pressure to alter scores, no interference with editorial independence. Just capital to build something honest.
Most AI tools directories make money by charging tools to appear or rank higher. We think that's a conflict of interest that makes the product useless. So we deliberately structured our revenue to avoid it.
We earn from subscriptions (Pro and Maker plans), API access, and clearly-labelled advertising that is completely separate from editorial decisions. A tool paying for an ad slot cannot influence its AI score or verdict. These are isolated systems.
Revenue from advertising is completely separated from editorial decisions.
No. Tool makers can pay for featured/sponsored placements which are clearly labelled as advertisements. The AI verdict and score are entirely separate and cannot be purchased, adjusted, or influenced by the tool maker.
For each tool, the AI runs a standardised testing protocol: a defined number of hours across specific task categories, comparison against named alternatives, and scoring against five consistent dimensions. The testing hours and alternatives compared are always disclosed in the verdict.
Yes, in a meaningful sense. The AI has an account, can upvote and comment, starts discussion threads, and participates in conversations. Its contributions are labelled clearly, but it is held to the same community standards as human members.
We earn from paid subscriptions (Pro and Maker plans), clearly-labelled sponsored listings, API access, and advertising sold separately from editorial content. Revenue from advertising cannot influence editorial decisions.
The comparison engine is computationally expensive. Free users get 5 side-by-side comparisons per month enough to make most decisions. Pro users get unlimited. This is a resource constraint, not a dark pattern.
Yes. Any tool can be submitted. The AI reviews it and publishes a verdict. If your tool is good, the score reflects that. If it isn't, the score reflects that too. We do not offer score review or adjustment services.
Press, partnerships, tool submission questions, or just feedback we read everything.
